XEL, aka Alessandro Ussia, was born in Turin in 1975.
He began painting the walls in the street as a writer in the late '80's, as a teenager, on the northern outskirts of the city, becoming known in the street environment as one of the most talented guys. In the late '90 yet another encounter / clash with the police and the special and violent intolerance by an agent during surgery helps to remove him from the scene.
After nearly 10 years of disillusionment and stop his courage of all the experiences, including a transfer to Spain for some time, inevitably takes the path of art driven by a need irrepressible.
Since writing veers toward the Street Art, and from 2010 began to produce a series of acrylic on canvas and to become part of the world of '' Art-listed. "
He participated in the Biennale di Venezia Pavilion Italy in Turin as exponent street, played solo exhibitions in Italy and abroad, Geneva, Bologna, Turin, to name the most significant, has created murals for the Museum of Urban Art in Turin, for Department of the Culture of the Piedmont Region, and on the walls of Palazzo Cisterna in Turin, can count prestigious collaborations including one with RAI Italian Radio and Television, as the face of street art in Turin under the project Street Art Stories promoted Prix Italia.
His work is on several fronts, Street Art with interventions in the street mostly sticker art and poster art, the Public Art and urban redevelopment with the construction of the wall paintings of large dimensions, and finally painting on canvas.
